There are 2 parts to our estates practice:
Estate planning
Estate planning helps you to make important decisions while you still can – decisions about what happens if you lose mental capacity and what happens when you die. Iron Cove Law will look at your current life circumstances so that we can determine the best estate planning for you.
Some of these estate planning decisions involve:
- Appointing an attorney to make legal and financial decisions on your behalf
- Appointing an enduring guardian to make health and other care decisions on your behalf
- Making a Will
- Making a succession plan for your business

Deceased estates
Dealing with a deceased estate is one of the more difficult challenges in life. Iron Cove Law will deal with the legal documents so that you can concentrate on grieving the loss of that special person in your life.
If the deceased left a valid Will, we can apply for a grant of Probate from the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
If they didn’t have a Will or if their Will is not valid, we can apply for a grant of Letters of Administration from the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
Sometimes, there is no need for us to apply for any grant – whatever the situation, you can leave it to Iron Cove Law to sensitively and efficiently administer the deceased estate in accordance with the wishes of the deceased.
